Welcome Baby Fleming!

Last year the Flemings scheduled a family session with me soon after they found out they were expecting a second child. It was so much fun! Buck Creek was a gorgeous and special location for their family photos, and I loved getting to know them and their precious pup, Charlotte.

Fast forward to earlier this year.

Robyn contacted me to tell me that they would soon be welcoming a baby boy! When I visited their home for their pre-session consult, she shared her desire to capture their new every day life and expressed excitement at the prospect of having session images printed, framed, and delivered ready to hang. Let's be honest, life with a new baby will keep you busy, and adding "one more thing" to the list isn't exactly ideal. I LOVE offering my clients framed, ready to hang pieces, so knowing that she was excited about this had me over the moon!

The plan for the session was to be as relaxed as possible - less posing and more cuddling. After all, isn't that what every family wants to do when they welcome a new baby into the family?! I always ask if new parents would like me to bring solid backdrops for traditional photos, but the Fleming's decided to keep things as true to life as possible and use the home they love as their backdrop. From everything I was hearing, a documentary style session was what they were going for. Something that would require little more than enjoying each other's company and snuggling their newest family member. I made sure to work in a few lightly posed photos since she expressed interested in hanging artwork, but the majority of our session was spent in conversation and basking in the cuteness of the new baby. I'm IN LOVE with the results!
