“No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle”
When a client mentions a special furry friend, I always encourage them to include them in their portraits. Peyton didn't need any convincing. In fact, his mom, Jenifer, told me from the start that his only request for senior photos was to include his horse, Caesar, in them. To say I was excited is an understatement!
Turns out, Peyton and Caesar go way back. Peyton was seven years old when he was introduced to Caesar, and they've been best buds ever since. Trail riding at Hope's Creek Valley in Clanton is one of their favorite pastimes, so that's where I met them for their session. During the session, we chatted about his growing up around horses, time spent on the Shelby County High School Fishing Team, college plans, and more.
At the gallery reveal, Jenifer chose to have me design a set of custom graduation announcements and senior album, and selected a portrait to have framed for their wall. Three weeks later, their artwork was ready! I'd be lying if I said I didn't immediately smell this gorgeous album when I opened the box- Anyone else love the smell of leather?? LOL
Thank you, Jenifer, for choosing me as your photographer. I absolutely loved getting to know your family (Caesar included!), and I'm so looking forward to doing it again soon.
If you're on the fence about including your pet in senior portraits, just do it! Make sure to reach out to me sooner rather than later to get on my calendar. Summer and Fall are booking fast, and it's not too early for your 2024 senior session!
